Bobby Muriel
Bobby M, the newest member of Jam Central Station
took an interest in the drums at a very early age.
Bobby said “It was either my parents buying me a drum
set or new furniture in the whole house, because I was
beating on everything”.   Frank Muriel, Bobby’s dad,
played in a Jazz Band and had jam sessions at the
house quite often.   Bobby grew up seeing some of the
best jazz musicians from St. Louis and Chicago.  At 16
he was playing the local scene (Gas Light Square).
Later he learned Latin percussion, and has played on 4
records along with working with some of St. Louis’ best,
Jay Hays, Chuck Keel and Tim Reynolds.

One of the highlights of Bobby’s career was in the 90's
when his brother got signed to a major label and he
was flown to LA to perform on the record.  What an
experience this was to see the big leagues.

John Bonham, Buddy Rich and Carl Palmer are Bobby’
s favorite drummers.  With 40 years of playing Bobby is
holding it down for the Station.
