Dave Bohannan

Dave is a seasoned professional vocalist and lead
guitarist bringing over thirty years of classic rock and
vocal arranging experience to Jam Central Station.
Dave’s high-tenor vocal range and killer guitar runs
lend a rock solid edge to many rocking classics.
Dave is the lead singer and guitarist for Jam Central
Station, St. Louis’ premier classic 70’s rock cover band.
His chameleon-like approach to lead vocals and
attention to detail has made JCS one of the areas most
sought after cover acts. After playing the local St. Louis
club scene, JCS has earned a reputation of sounding
“just like the record” to their fans. Covering lead vocals
for such 70’s high-tenor belters such as Led Zeppelin,
Queen, Journey, Kansas, and Styx, Dave provides the
pipes that keep audiences coming back for more. JCS
has amassed quite a following, and the new line-up is
guaranteed to continue that rocking tradition.
Prior to JCS, Dave held down guitar chores and vocal
work for St. Louis area favorites Green Eggs and
Hamm and Ticket to the Beatles. Thus giving him the
opportunity to learn hundreds of tunes further
increasing his scope of guitar knowledge and harmony
theory. This knowledge supplemented what he learned
as a youngster singing in St. Louis' Boy’s Choristers,
who had the opportunity to sing at St. Louis City Hall
and Powell Symphony Hall.
Earlier in his career, Dave was in several local groups
honing his chops. Bands such as Half Street, Airborne,
Shepard, Challenger, Stainless, and recording artists
Ambush, who along with Shepard made it onto both of
the K-SHE Seeds compilation albums. Dave, along with
Ambush, toured the Bi-state area to promote their
album, and played such venues as Stages, Fourth and
Pine, Stonehenge and Mississippi Nights where
sometimes opening for national recording artists,
Mamas Pride, they packed the houses. Dave also had
the pleasure of playing the Kiel Opera House on the
same stage that the rock bands that inspired him had
previously played.
