Tim Dodson
About Me;
I definitely try to play music everyday, to my senses it's
like breathing & a gift that keeps giving.
Don't regret getting older, enjoy, it's a gift that will be
denied to many of your friends.
Live every day as if it may be your last chance to make
a difference.
Treat everyone w/ respect until they provide a reason
not to.
Treat yourself & your body with respect, you are due &
it's the only way to stick around.

History;
Played piano & trumpet in the early years, high school
band, a stint in the Meramec Orchestra on violin, while
a Music Major.
Studied under St. Louis Symphony violinist Carmen
Ficocelli who’s classical perspective was; Listen 90%,
Practice 9%, Performance 1%.  I loved playing the
violin, but my electrician’s hands are built for guitar &
keyboards.
Previous groups; Matchbox Collection, Gambler - 10
yrs on the St. Louis Landing, Drastic Measures,
Staggerkats, Permanent Groove and most recently
Blue Marlin Band.
KeyGear; Yamaha ES90S, Motif ES6 Other stuff; 73
Gibson SG, 95 Strat 40th Anniversary, Crate DX212 &
the usual suspect varitety of floor peds.

General;
Just got my Alvarez Jumbo Blond CutAway Acoustic
back from a fret job, Mr. John Higgins was spotless
again, very nice work, it now plays better than it ever
did, thanks John !

Satriani, John Mayer, Peter Mayer, Elton John,

Zappa, Mozart.   * * * http://stlmusic.com/ * * *

Who I'd like to meet:
Looking for other good to great musicians who are
songwriters like myself & can write good complex rock
w/ & w/o vocals. I’m a musician who is mature & have a
lot of club experience to match, over 50, but still love to
rock/blues/prog/fusion, can’t fit into one mold & simply
will not fit into the muscacholi circuit, weddings are for
once in a lifetime, not every weekend band stuff.

What does is it sound like? Everything from Return to
Forever, Chick Corea, Santana, Toto, Steve Lufkather,
Super Tramp, Elton John, VHalen, Satriani, Alice in
Chains thru Steely Dan, Floyd, Rush, Zep, Dream
Theatre. I have a modest digital basement studio & a
few good mics that makes the transition to the next
level easier.
